1. What are your hours of operation?
We are open 7 days a week. Our weekday hours are M-F 6:30am-10pm Sat-Sunday 8am- 9pm.
During the following holidays we operate at weekend hours (8AM-8PM):

Our facility is staffed 24x7x365. There is as always at least 1 staff member at Dogs' Den with the dogs but outside of business hours our front gates are shut and locked for safety.
2. What does my dog do while at your boarding facility?
Our facility is designed to let your dog play in a social environment while staying with us. If it's for daycare or boarding your dog will be separated based on size and temperament in either the big room or small room. Your precious friend will be taken down on two occasions for breakfast and dinner. In that time we clean the play room thoroughly so that your pooch can come back up in a safe clean environment. Now some dogs may can play rough or sometimes just need a break. In that case, we give 15 minute time outs for their own safety and the safety of others.

4. Can I leave my dog for only a few hours?
We offer full days, half days, and if you become a platinum member than you can utilize “Dog Parking Feature”. Click here for our membership link.
5. Do I need a reservation?
For grooming you should make a reservation at least 72 hours in advance as we get constantly booked. For daycare we request reservations during the holiday weekends. For boarding we request you make reservations at least two weeks in advance to ensure we have space available for your dog. Members always have space available but as a courtesy please reserve during the major holidays and busy weekends.
6. Can my Dog be walked?
We offer walks for your dog that we charge $7.00 for 15 minutes per walk, while staying in our facility. However our facility is designed so that your dog can have the out door environment in doors.
7. What is it about your facility that gives it out doors feel indoors?
We have vents for the soul purpose of bringing fresh into the facility. We also have commercial grade vent vans that take and circulate the air out of our facility. In essence it sucks out air as fresh air comes in. We designed our floors and walls in a way so that your dog can treat it like a dog park and go when and where as they please. Our care providers stay in the room and clean up after them to ensure their safety and a clean environment. The care givers also play with your dogs and give them the attention they deserve. We also play classical music in the play rooms as research proves it helps calm and sooth the dogs.
8. How do you hire the care givers?
We take people that have experience and a love for working with dogs. We train them on how to handle the dogs, as well as how to keep the room calm. Our caregivers spend the time in the room devoting nothing but attention and care to your loved one.
9. I can't make it down there to drop of my loved one is there any way you can come and get my furry friend?
We offer a pick up and drop off service that is charged based on distance from our facility. If need be we would be more than happy to shuttle your loved one.
10. What kind of food do you offer and how many times a day do the dogs get fed?
We offer Science diet and wellness, however if your dog has special dietary needs you can bring in your own food and we will feed him according to your instructions. The Dogs get fed twice a day between 9am and 10am and 5pm through 6pm. If you feeding instructions differ from ours than let us know when you drop off your dog and we will accommodate your needs.
11. What if my dog is not fit to be in the play rooms?
We at Dogs Den believe no dog should be crated for their duration of stay out our facility. However not every dog is social fit to be in our facility so that's why we evaluate our customers. If your dog does not pass evaluation and must be crated we will give your fuzzy friend relief walks. After we are done cleaning the room during the feeding break we will bring your dog upstairs and let him play in the area while the rest are feeding. We also have a private room where if a staff member is not busy will spend time playing with your dog so that they can stretch their legs often and in a safe environment.
12. I am nervous and would like to monitor my dogs play while at dogs den or just want to see him while I am away is that possible?
We have one of the best and advanced web cam systems in the New York metropolitan area. Once you come in and your dog is in our facility we will give you a password to check up on him or her as often as you want. Also feel free to call our staff and ask how your dog is doing. We will be more than happy to give you an up date on his stay with us.
13. When my dog spends the night is my pooch alone in the place or does someone sleep there?
We have someone spending the nights in our facility so that if anything happens during over night hours someone is there to respond to the dogs need.
14. Where do the dogs sleep while staying the night and can I bring in toys or items to give him that at home feel?
Each dog has an individual crate where they get fed in and sleep in. However if you want your dog to board and not sleep in a cage we offer crateless boarding at a surcharge of $20 a night. Also if you want to bring in something from home so that your dog has something to remember you by go ahead we will put it in their crate.
15. My dog is sick can he still come and stay if need be?
We always are willing to administer medications if need be while your dog stays with us. However there are certain medical conditions that if your dog has them, then we can't let your dog stay with us which are:
Kennel Cough
Distemper
Hepatitis
Parainfluenza
Parvo
Dogs that require hypodermic injections
Mange
Rabies
Female dogs in heat
Parasites
Coccidia
Giardia
Fleas
Anything Contagious
16. My dog has had his bordetella shot but he still contracted kennel cough?
As bordetella is a vaccination there are many different strains of kennel cough and it is hard to be fully vaccinated. We require by state law that all bordetella vaccinations be within six months of the original vaccination date. Our System at dogs den notifies us of any vaccinations that expire and we require our clients to provide update vaccinations as well.
17. What happens if my dog has a medical emergency?
Our first cause of action in any medical situation is to call you the owner. If for some reason we are unable to reach you than we will call your emergency contact. If we can't reach your contact than based on the waiver we will be responsible to determine best coarse of action. In most cases as long as your vet is in close proximity and the emergency will give us travel time to go and bring your loved one to the vet we will take him there. If not we have a vet on premises that can treat your dog or we have good relationships with local vets to make sure your dog gets the proper medical attention as quickly as possible.
18. What happens if my dog gets into a fight?
Our staff is properly trained to notice the warning signs if two dogs are about to get into a fight. At that point we will separate the dogs and give them a time out. We will not, under any circumstances under any circumstances never get physical with your dogs through violence . We do use whistles and we will spray them with water to separate the fight as a form of distraction.
19. My dog is staying with you but it's been a while since their last bath or hair cut, do you have anyone that can give it to them?
We have groomers and our staff members are is trained to give a baths . So we can accommodate your needs.
20. What is the difference between a bath and a haircut?
A bath includes bath nail clippings anal glad expression ear cleaning. A grooming however is when we take scissors to your dogs coat and do everything included in a bath. (Click here for our starting grooming and bath prices)
21. What are you cleaning habits?
We clean the facility constantly. We clean the crates after they come up in the morning and before they go back down for breakfast. We clean them after breakfast before dinner. We clean them after dinner and before bed time. We clean the floors through the day by mopping up any messes that are made. After the dogs go for feeding we go through the floors with a chemical that is used to kill all bacteria associated with dogs. Once they go down for bed time we clean the facility one more time. We use a mixture of Clorox and water, and the chemical to clean the facility. We also steam clean the plastic walls to ensure a safer environment.
22. I want to see where my dog sleeps and plays?
When you come in for your registration and evaluation we will give you a full tour of the facility.
23. I left my dog over night but I can't pick my friend up until after 7pm do I get charged if I don't pick up my pooch by a certain time?
No we don't have an out by 12 rule, like other day care facilities. You're able to drop your four legged friend of at any time and pick them up until we close. If for some reason you can't pick them up until the next day than we will charge for another night of boarding.
24. I am running a few minutes passed closing time is it possible to pick up my dog?
If you are running 10 minutes late give us a call and we will wait until you get there to pick up your friend.
25. What is dog parking?
Dog parking is a feature of our platinum membership. It allows you to bring your dog in for two hours a day every day except on holidays as listed on question #1. If you want to run errands and don't want to leave your four legged loved one at home while you are out and about, and don't feel comfortable tying your dog up to a meter or other street object than this is what you need. That's the point of parking, to allow you to let your dog get two hours of play while you handle your errands.
